About the Course
Laboratory pathology services lie at the heart of health care services playing an important role in over 70% of all clinical diagnoses. It is the laboratory pathologist who can test patients for pregnancy, anemia, diabetes, risk of heart disease or a cancerous lump.
The emergence of new research techniques, such as electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry and molecular biology have added depth to the study of pathology enabling pathologists to detect the cause of many diseases in a much better way now through the testing of blood, urine, stool etc., of patients.
This course work in laboratory pathology extensively covers the various pathological tests and their methods. Our eminent faculty have come up with this unique course which covers in great detail the most common laboratory investigations like liver, renal and thyroid function tests, urine analysis, cerebrospinal fluid analysis etc along with their clinical significance.

Course Delivery Format
This course is delivered entirely online. It consists of a series of comprehensive lectures by a professor in the subject, appropriately annotated with slides, animations and wherever necessary, interactive content. The delivery offers tremendous flexibility. You may pause a teacher while you refer to your textbooks (not includes) and to take notes. You may also rewind a segment to listen to the teacher again or you may skip a slide or two if you already know that bit. You may bookmark a segment that you wish to return to later, maybe to refresh just before your exams. While the lessons in this course may be arranged in a particular order based on our curriculum, you have the flexibility to take them in order of your preference based on your personalized learning needs.
