About the Course

Proteins are of exceptional importance to human body because they are the building blocks. Special proteins have unique roles as structural and functional elements of cells and tissues. Proteinn metabolism denotes the various biochemical processes responsible for the synthesis of proteins and amino acids, and the breakdown of proteins by catabolism.
In this course we will be studying about classification, properties and chemistry of amino acids and proteins. The metabolism of each group of amino acids is discussed in detail along with urea cycle and detoxification of ammonia. The biologically important peptides is also touched upon in the last lesson.

You may bookmark a segment that you wish to return to later, maybe to refresh just before your exams. While the lessons in this course may be arranged in a particular order based on our curriculum, you have the flexibility to take them in order of your preference based on your personalized learning needs.

What does the course material contain?

Is there an exam or an assessment?

There are no exams. These courses are for self-study. Our MCQs, however, help in self assessing yourself.

For how long can I access the course material?

You can complete the course material over a period of 6 months. However you can view the video lectures for twice the duration of the lectures. You can renew your access with a nominal extra charge.
